The Council for Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST) invites the public to register for the fifth webinar on the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and the Endangered Species Act (ESA) series. Scheduled for February 20, 2024, from noon to 1 p.m. CST, this webinar will focus on the complexities surrounding pesticide consultation and its implications for agricultural practices and environmental stewardship.
The webinar, titled “FIFRA, ESA and Pesticide Consultation: Understanding and Addressing the Complexities,” will feature discussions led by Bernalyn McGaughey, President and CEO of Compliance Services International, and Stanley Culpepper, Professor of Crop and Soil Sciences at the University of Georgia, along with esteemed authors contributing to the series’ essays.
The session will explore challenges related to pesticide use labeling, including geographical variations, practical application for users, and the absence of harmonization, while also discussing potential solutions.
