To ensure ample opportunity for recognizing outstanding contributions to agricultural communication, the Council for Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST) announces the extension of the nomination period for the 2024 Borlaug CAST Communication Award (BCCA). Originally scheduled to close on February 10, the nomination window will remain open until midnight on March 11, 2024.

How to nominate

Please complete the nomination form in the nomination packet and email the packet to aowens@cast-science.org by midnight, March 11, 2024.

Important Note

The BCCA nominations are active for two years. Thus, if you nominated someone for 2023, that individual will automatically be considered for the award again in 2024. Nominations submitted prior to or as a second-year nomination in 2023 must be resubmitted as a new nomination for 2024. All repeat nominations must be updated to include the curated (five pages maximum) resume or CV for the nominee. Please feel free to submit updates to your nominee’s packet and a summary of work if you wish. Those and any questions can be sent to Anne Owens at aowens@cast-science.org.

Award Presentation

The recipient of the 2024 BCCA will be honored at a side event of the World Food Prize Symposium, where the awardee will have the opportunity to deliver a presentation showcasing their expertise and achievements in agricultural communication.
